Student forum

The EDCC 2017 Student Forum is a vibrant and friendly environment where students can present their work, exchange ideas and experiences, get feedback on their work, get new inspirations and points of view. In addition, the forum stimulates interaction between young researchers, experienced researchers, and industry.
We invite original papers reporting research and practical results related to dependable computing; please, refer to the EDCC 2017 Call for Papers for a detailed list of topics. We invite students to submit papers describing their potential and ongoing research in any stage, from ideas to results.
Papers submitted to the Student Forum are short technical articles that promote early communication of technical work and allow students to report on work in progress and introduce new ideas to the community. The first author of the paper must be a student. Submissions must be unpublished and must not be submitted for publication elsewhere. Submitted papers should conform to the following template
Types of Submissions: In-progress research papers (4 to 6 pages) presenting unpublished achieved results and in-progress research, and new and potentially not yet mature ideas (2 pages).
Papers should be submitted via EasyChair, Student Forum track.
Student Forum papers will be reviewed by the members of the Student Forum Program Committee. The selection will be based on the following criteria:

• Relevance to the technical content of EDCC 2017 (refer to the EDCC 2017 Call for Papers)
• Originality
• Technical soundness
• Quality and clarity of the written presentation

Students with accepted papers are expected to attend the conference and present their work. Accepted papers will be published on arxiv.org, a free open-access publication service. Submission: 17 July 2017
